Therese charts the course of biocrates’ scientific, technological and research operations, so we’re always on the cutting edge of metabolomic research.

She has a proven track record in transforming the science of metabolomics into practice.
With twenty years’ experience and multiple patents to her name (including metabolic phenotyping kits), Therese oversees the development of new metabolomics applications that unlock exciting discoveries for our customers.

Therese has a PhD in Analytical Chemistry. She completed post-graduate training in toxicology at the University of Leipzig, with post-doctoral training in pharmacology and therapeutic drug monitoring at Hannover Medical School. She joined biocrates in 2006.

Matthias drives the development, execution and communication of our corporate and scientific mission. He builds and fosters partnerships throughout the scientific community to apply metabolomics to real-world problems. Together with our CTO, Therese, he works to position biocrates as the number one metabolomics company in the wider omics ecosystem. He oversees our scientific content experts and encourages knowledge-sharing across international research cohorts, so metabolomics can grow to its true potential.

Matthias has extensive experience both in the lab and in leading multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, developers and engineers. He has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bochum and joined biocrates in 2015.

Fadi is responsible for shaping and implementing our corporate strategy. As our point-person for product development, he connects the dots between metabolomic research and our customers’ challenges, so our products hit the mark from day one. Fadi also oversees biocrates’ North American operations, focusing on sales, marketing and strategic partnership-building to grow our footprint in the biomedical science community.

He has more than twenty years’ experience in the application of mass spectrometry to genomics, proteomics and metabolomics, gained in tier one businesses, including Sciex (a Danaher Company).

Fadi joined biocrates in 2018. He has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Houston and has completed two postdoctoral fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Moritz is an experienced executive and entrepreneur who enjoys leading high-potential teams and channeling their collective brain power towards a compelling business vision. Together with the leadership team, he ensures the organization has the resilience, strength and capacity to fulfil our aspirations with a commitment to innovation and scientific excellence.

Moritz began his career in the world of finance, going on to become managing director at one of Germany’s largest online marketing networks before joining biocrates in 2019. He has a degree in Economics from Humboldt University in Berlin.
