Standardizing targeted metabolomics studies using the Agilent 6495 LC/TQ technologies in concert with biocrates
Metabolomics and lipidomics are areas of research which have grown hugely over the last 10-15 years. The focus is often on the non-targeted approaches. As knowledge of organism metabolomes and lipidomes has grown, so has the coverage and understanding of metabolic pathways and their networks. Researchers can now focus on key metabolites as markers of well curated pathways known to be impacted by many conditions and changes. This is enabling the emphasis to shift towards targeted approaches. This in turn, provides repeatable sample preparation and analysis with out-of-the-box solutions, such as the biocrates kit. With the new Agilent LC/TQ technologies, the number of metabolites which can be analysed concurrently continues to improve with shorter dwell times, faster polarity switching and increased sensitivity with the aid of improved signal: noise ratios. We show how the Agilent 6495 LC/TQ utilizes these attributes to be a leading multi omics platform for targeted metabolomics, lipidomics and proteomics. This webinar discusses how biocrates solutions such as such as the MxP® Quant 500 XL kit fits seamlessly into this platform.

Standardized metabolomics kits for quantitative and reproducible results
Kit workflow in the laboratory and the WebIDQ™ software
Metabolomics is the most relevant tool to answer the multidimensional questions of system biology. From just a few microliters of sample material, the phenotype of an individual can be uncovered. Quantitative, standardized, and quality-controlled targeted metabolomics assays guarantee robust and reproducible results that are the cornerstones of all clinical research.
The MxP® Quant 500 XL kit is a simple and high-throughput tool for basic, clinical, and epidemiological research. The kit provides scientists with highly reproducible metabolomics data to confidently obtain detailed knowledge about the metabolic phenotypes in their studies. The kit is suitable for all stages of biological and biomedical research – from cell culture and rodent models to large-scale epidemiological studies.
For an easy and user-friendly workflow, the WebIDQ™ is the companion software to all biocrates kits. It guides you through the registration of the plate layout, sample analysis and quantification right up to the assessment of data quality, data normalization and exports for statistical evaluations. Look forward to a presentation of kit workflow and WebIDQ™’s main features.
